With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Michael B. Smith of Jersey City, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Michael left this world on July 15, 2025 at the age of 70, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Smith; and his siblings, Richard and Susan. He is survived by: his father Richard Smith; his wife Annarose Smith; his children, Debra Sikora, William Sikora, Jr. (Christina), Kelly Sikora, Kristine Sikora and Kimberly Silverthorn; his child-in-law Daryle; his grandchildren, William III (Raven), Christopher, Charles (Lisa), Jessica, Melanie, Kristine, Angelina, Matthew and Kyle; his great grandchildren, William IV, Alyssa, Jayden and Elias; his siblings-in-law, Joseph Wares, Jr. (Karen), Patrick Wares and Patricia Sikora; his goddaughter Megan Wares; and his pet Scar.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation (3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anne's Church (3545 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07307). A burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in honor of Michael's deep love for children.
