It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Nixon of Kearny, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on October 22, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Nixon; her son Bob Nixon (Helen); and her grandson Matthew. She is survived by: her children, Liz McAveney (Jerry), Dana Wojciechowski (Gary) and John Nixon; and her grandchildren, Sean, Brian, Caitlin, Danielle, Gary, Keith, Kristen, John, Rob and Lori. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home (596 Belgrove Dr, Kearny, NJ 07032). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Arlington Cemetery (748 Schuyler Ave, Kearny, NJ 07032).
