With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Maria Esteves (Kearny, New Jersey), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Maria left this world on May 5, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Canossa Esteves; her child Henrique Esteves; her father Jose Cardoso; and her brothers, Jose, Rocha Cardoso, Antonio and Agostinho of Rocha Cardoso.

She is survived by: her children, Arthur Agostinho Esteves (Irene), Carlos Esteves, Antonio Esteves (Angie), Maria Esperança Esteves, Rogerio Esteves (Kelly) and Anabela Esteves (Paul); her grandchildren, Joey, Manny, Natalie, Suzette, Gabriella, Tiffany, Francesca, Eric, Morganne, Cristina, Taylor, Brandon and Kyle; her great grandchildren, Joshua, Allyson, Lydia, Troy, Amelia, Emilyn, Kayleigh and Lainey; and her siblings, Jorge of Rocha Cardoso, Clemente and Laurinda.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Maria's memory.
