He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jane Hinkley (Layton); and his sisters, Mary Andrews, Kay Brodie and Beatrice Shurr. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Hinkley (Joanne) and Lynda Hinkley (William Kirchoff); his grandsons, Evan and Neil Cratz; and his great grandchildren, Juniper and Cillian Cratz.
