With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Vincent DeFilippo of Kendall Park, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastian DeFilippo and Anne DeFilippo (Caruso). He is survived by: his son Joseph D. DeFilippo (Samantha DeFilippo); his wife Margaret "Peggy" A. DeFilippo (Strain); his children, Richard (Molly DeFilippo), Christine DeFilippo (Jonathan Cowart), Jeffrey (Lynne Emmons), Adam (Rachel Emmons) and Carol Ann (Michael Antonio); his brother Dominic; his sister-in-law Gail DeFilippo; his nephew Daniel DeFilippo; and his grandchildren, Trevor, Aubrie, Maggie Anne, Jeffrey, Harper, Cami, Ethan, Sebastian, Brooklynn, Raven and Riley. He is also survived by many friends and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the M. J. Murphy Funeral Home (616 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852).
