With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry David Katz of Kinnelon, New Jersey, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on May 11, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barry David Katz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his son David Bernard Katz; and his siblings, Lora Lee Sciuto, Shirley Ann LaCaillaide and Beverly Passanante. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Katz (Dodd); his children, Deborah Lynn Katz-Midyett (Nicholas), Stacey Lynn Katz, Jason David Katz (Heather) and Justin Thomas Katz (Melanie); his grandchildren, Brittany Poole (Joseph), Demi Davis (Blake), Alicia Peterson, Tyler Katz, Christian Katz, Kyle Katz and Nathan Katz; his great grandchildren, Connor, Carson, Jaxon and Hayden Mae; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Dodd (Blanca) and Kevin Dodd (Carmela); and his pets, Autumn and Sydney. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home (639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the East Ridgelawn Cemetery (255 Main Ave, Clifton, NJ 07014).
