It is with sadness that the passing of Thomas Nelson (Kinnelon, New Jersey) is shared. Thomas, born on June 13, 1944, passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Joe Grippo; his parents, Ethel Nelson and Clarence Nelson; and his brothers, Curt and Roger Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Nelson (McLaughlin); his daughters, Jennifer Lafond (Dan) and Erica Grippo; and his grandsons, Jack Lafond, Eric Lafond, Joseph Grippo, Thomas Grippo and Brady Grippo. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
A Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (545 Randolph Ave, Cape Charles, VA 23310). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Grippo Family Home (835 W Shore Dr, Kinnelon, NJ 07405).
