He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edelman and Margita Gefert. He is survived by: his wife Petronila; his children, Nancy Gefert and Christian Gefert; his granddaughter Alia; and his brother Otto Edelman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
