He was predeceased by: his parents, Donata Basenese (Amendola) and Gabriel Basenese; and his siblings, Domenick, Louie, Joseph, Raffaello, Frank, Mike, Anthony, Angelo, Anna, Mary and Angelina.
He is survived by: his nephew Ralph; his children, Angela Basanese and Pat Basanese; the mother of his children Mary Lou McGrath; his stepson John McGrath (Andrew Engel); and his grandpups, Ivy and Tasha. He is also survived by his parents, siblings.
