William Tanko Sr. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Tanko Sr. of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Tanko and Julia Tanko; his siblings, Albert, Ronnie, Bobby (Louis Tanko) and Marie Tehila (Isabelle Sama); his brother-in-law Gary Kaznowski; his daughter Lisa Ann Tanko Thompson; his son-in-law Robert David Thompson; and his grandson Bobby Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Kaznowski Tanko; his sons, Tyrone Tanko and William Tanko Jr. (Kathleen Jessen); his grandchildren, Christina Thompson (Fortunato Papaleo), William Tanko III (Jamie Emmerson), Tabitha Tanko, Megan Guardascione (Mike), Falon Tanko and Anthony Tanko; and his great grandchildren, Londyn, Vincenza and Giovanna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home (15 Cherry Ln, Parlin, NJ 08859). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
