She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Rupert Gates and Anne Gates (Williams); her husband John A. Jost; and her sons, Jeffrey, Peter and Daniel. She was also cherished by three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara's memory can be made to either: Save Barnegat Bay, the Sailing Foundation of Barnegat Bay, or the Lavallette Volunteer First Aid Squad.
