He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Shaw and Edna Shaw (late Dorothy Shaw). He is survived by: his son Jonathan Shaw (Romene); his grandchildren, Josiah, Mya, Monica and Isiah; his brothers, Perry and Robert Handelman; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Camacho (Fernando) and Anne Vecchio (Len); and his feline Lola. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
