He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Katona Sr. and Ethel Baky Katona; and his brothers, Joseph J. Katona Jr. (Patricia) and Lawrence Katona. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Katona; his daughter Gloria Katona; his son-in-law Carmen Scarpati; his son Les Jr. (Holly); his stepson David Cerne; his grandchildren, Morgan Menszak (Tim), Dr. Mitchell Katona (Emily Henkel), Matthew Katona and Megan Katona (Kevin Blum); his stepgrandchildren, Diana Cerne and Michael Cerne; his sister-in-law Judy Katona; his sibling's children, Cynthia Parsons, Joseph J. Katona III (Maryann), Lawrence Katona, Tracey Katona and Stacey Katona; and his cousins, Carol Niedt (Nagy) and Alexander "Sandy" Nagy. He is also survived by many friends and family.
