He was predeceased by: his parents, John McGowan and Marie McGowan; his wife Linda McGowan; and his brothers, John and Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, Gina Marie (Nicholas Quiles), John McGowan and James McGowan (Amanda Smith); and his siblings, Michael "Mickey" McGowan, Marie McGowan, Margaret "Maggie" Burke and Elizabeth "Liz" Corbet. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Scott & Kedz Home For Funerals (153 Church St, Belford, NJ 07718).
