He was predeceased by: his parents, N. Matera (Joan) and Cristina; his siblings, Gennaro, Biagio, Maria Venezia and Pasqualina Gramuglia; his brother-in-law Joseph Gramuglia; and his children, Constance (Tim) and John.
He is survived by: his son Joseph (Robyn); his grandchildren, Joseph Liam Matera, Ryan Post and Katie Macarico (Ryan); his siblings-in-law, Carol Matera, Angela Matera and Rocco Venezia (Roberta Matera); Norman. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, his family kindly requests a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital http://www.stjude.org., an organization which meant so much to Joe for many years.
