She is survived by: her siblings, Gloria Guess, Smith Costen Jr., Marion Curry and George Costen; her children, Deborah Brown-Hemingway (Darren) of East Windsor, NJ and Carl Jr. Brown (Tamara) of Newark, NJ; her brother Gilbert Costen of Rhode Island; her sister-in-law Margaret Costen of South Carolina; and her grandchildren, Michael Brown Jr., Carl Brown III (Dia), Jason Brown (Bianca), Ebony Ali, Dr. Bree Hemingway, Christopher Brown Sr. and Carla Brown. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
