She was loved and cherished by many people including: her caregiver Michael Dyr of Rockaway, NJ.; her sons, Gerard R. Nelson (Barbara), Kevin W. Nelson (Courtney) and Christopher D. Nelson; her stepdaughter Susan Redwood (Kevin); her grandchildren, Gabriel, Brooke, Justin, Carrie, Maggie and Maisie; her siblings, William Mersinger (Brenda), Sharon Mersinger Wolf (William) and Barbara Mersinger Skirtun (Michael); her stepbrother Edward Wolf (Donna); her parents, William F. Mersinger and Catherine F. Mersinger Wolf; and her stepfather Edward Wolf. She was also cherished by her eleven nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Keri-Lozito Funeral Home (125 Main St, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
