Sheelah Mae Preusse Obituary

Sheelah Mae Preusse, 80, of Lincroft, passed away on March 8, 2024 at Riverview Medical Center. Sheelah was born in McKeesport, PA to Clifford and Ella (Welsh) Cleeland. She graduated from McKeesport High School, Class of 1961, and attended Carnegie Mellon University.

Sheelah was a proud member of the Old Bridge Symphonic Band and a passionate animal lover. She and her husband formerly bred Himalayan cats.

She worked for many years as an animal adoption counselor at the Monmouth County SPCA.

Sheelah was predeceased by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John W. Preusse Sr., her sons: John W. Preusse Jr. of Toronto Canada and James Preusse of Jackson, her brother, Byron Cleeland and his wife, Kathy, four grandchildren; John, Victoria, Morgan and Jillian (Alex), and her niece, Sarah.

At Sheelah's request, no services will be held.
