He is survived by: his wife Maria Fatima Barreto; his children, Isabel Barreto, Jose Barreto (Noemi Barreto) and Raquel Barreto; his grandchildren, Lucas Barreto, Abigail Barreto and Sofia Barreto; and his brother Manuel Barreto (Teresa Barreto).
