She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Boyd and Kenneth Boyd; and her brother Robert L. Boyd. She is survived by: her aunt Linda Sayer; and her cousins, Stacey (Jeff Kuduk) and Jon Sayer (Margaux). She is also survived by many other family members and good friends.
She then went on to receive an M.A in Mathematics from Fordham University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences under a National Science Foundation Fellowship.
