It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juana M. Ortiz in Lodi, New Jersey, who passed away on October 19, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Juana M. Ortiz to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Valentin and Catalina Valentin; and her daughter Jennie Ortiz. She is survived by: her daughter Roseabel Scheck (Kenneth J. Scheck, Jr.); her grandson Ethan J. Scheck of Woodland Park, NJ; her daughter Alva-Lina Gomez (Luis F. Gomez); her granddaughters, Leia C. Gomez and Aleena R. Gomez of Lodi, NJ; and her siblings, Antonia Ortiz and Juan Valentin (Mercedes Valentin).
At families request, in lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to go to Tommy Strong Foundation, 175 East Main Street, Ramsey, NJ 07446, in honor our Mother, Juana M. Ortiz website https://www.tommystrong.org. All donations will be used to aid in the medical community in the effort to find a cure for childhood cancers and to provide funding for support programs for the children and families coping with the disease.
