He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambers Walker and Catherine Walker of Quincy, FL; his daughter Quetta Bell; and his grandson Andre Walker. He is survived by: his aunt Aggie; his wife Margaret Walker; his children, Amber Congiaoco (VA), Jo-Ann Walker (PA), Deneise Mills (NJ), Ambers "Skip" Walker III (NJ), Jerold Walker (NJ), Eric Gillespie (GA) and Terrance Walker (FL); his grandchildren, Marqus, Mychal, Travis, Tyree, Eriq, Isiah and Cadence; and his great grandchildren, Xia, Ari and Korbin.

“Sending love, hugs, and prayers to Jr family in New Jersey from his Mississippi Family. Jr and my father Leon Rankin were cousin raised as brothers. Jr would always call and came to visit every year. He enjoyed being home and we enjoyed having him. He loved to talk and go bowling. Due to this pandemic we hate we cannot be there with you all. He told me I would work hard and achieve my PhD and I can say now I am Dr. Tammy Rankin. Rest on cousin Jr - you will be greatly missed and always loved.”
