She was predeceased by: her husband Willie "Boot" Cox, II; her daughters, Valerie and Rhonda Cox; her parents, George Brown and Mattie Brown; her stepmother Pearl Brown; and her siblings, Walter, Leon Brown, Elise Highsmith, Shirley Gary and Carolyn Monroe.
She is survived by: her children, Allison, Tanieka Cox, Willie Cox, III (Priscilla) of Connecticutone and Bryant Cox (Tasi) of Connecticutone; and her siblings, George F. Brown (Virginia) of Richmond, Anniemae Ogltree of Long Branch, Alice Williams of Richmond, Teresa Wright of Silver Springs and Martha Cho of Washington, D. C.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
