We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2023, at the age of 96, Easter Hamilton (Long Branch, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Para Lee and Alonzo Covin (Luke); her husband Jimmy Lee Hamilton of Albany, GA; her son James Hamilton; and her siblings, Martha Dukes, Parie Penn (Pat) of Mary Covin, Larry Covin, Isaac Covin, Charles Covin, Willie Covin, Benny Covin and Lonzy Covin (Lonnie).
She is survived by: her daughters, Willie Mae Mitchell, Florine (Leroy) of Washington and Robin Haymon; her sister Eloise McRoy; and her grandchildren, Regina Scott (David), Michelle Williams (John), Lorraine Pierce (Brian), Sheena Evans (Anthony), Bishara Johnson (Ashley), Khalif Johnson (Shaneen) and Michael Haymon (Bridget). She is also survived by 15 Great-grandchildren; 4 Great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
