With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lillie Johnson (Long Branch, New Jersey), who passed away on August 12, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lillie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fannie Williams and John Richard Mayes; her husband James W. Johnson; and her brothers, John Agurs and Bobby Mayes.
She is survived by: her brother Keith Mayes; her daughters, Tamike Patterson of Baltimore, MD and Quiana Brown of Long Branch, NJ; her granddaughter Serenity Brown of Long Branch, NJ; and her nieces, Phyllis Perry and Linda Bennett. She is also survived by nephews and many friends.
