He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Joyce and Redona Joyce; his wife Kathie; his son Richard K. Joyce; and his brothers, Norman and Robert.
He is survived by: his father-in-law Mason; his close friend Marianne Sahar; his siblings, Diane Schmid and Walter; his sons, Jeffrey (Tina) of Fair Haven and Steven (Judy) of Maine; and his grandchildren, Nicholas and Lauren.
In lieu of flowers, Richard and family would prefer a donation to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
