It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Stone Jr. (Long Branch, New Jersey), who passed away on June 16, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William E. Stone Sr.; his son William "Bugzie" Stone; his stepfather Jesse Jones; his siblings, Kenny Jones and Karen Jones-Johnson; his aunt Doris; and his uncles, Steven Thomas and Lawrence Lee.
He is survived by: his sibling Willie; his parent-in-law Jesse Jones; his former wife Darlene Hicks; his wife Kim Ficklin-Stone; his daughter Celestine Woods (Wallace); his grandchildren, Anthony Stone (Jaclyn) and Jeianeira Woods; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh Stone and Hudson Stone; his siblings, Barbra Stone, Audrey Garnett (William "Buzzy"), Beatrice Brown (Tyrone), Jesse Jones III (Adrianne), James Jones, Darrinita Johnson, Stanley Jones (Linda), Gale Jones (Clyde "Crummy"), Glenda Jones (Michael) and Karla Maker (William "Bill"); his aunt Elmira Lee (Lawrence); his parents-in-law, Diane Mosely (Cliff), Pearl Blakeley (Robert) and Curtis Ficklin; and his close friends, Herman Dunnigan, Kenneth "Doc" William and Fredrick "Ricky" Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Long Branch and after Covid he attended the McLaughlin Pentecostal Faith Church.
