She was predeceased by: her parents, Ettore and Maria; her husband Salvatore Buffa; and her siblings, Maria, Tanina, Tommasa, Salvatore and Franco.
She is survived by: her children, Giuseppa (Anthony Sanchez), Giuseppe (Francine Buffa) and Maria (Paul Nazzaro); her grandchildren, Francesca, Vita, Anthony, Liliana, Lia, Sofia, Elita and Vanessa; her great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Adriana, Jonathan, Antonio, Giovanna, Layla Jo and Brianna; and her great great grandchild Louis. She is also survived by Her family also includes many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vita's honor to The American Cancer Society.
