With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerome Matthews (Madison, New Jersey), who passed away on April 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Hazel; his godchildren, Rashad and Zuleha Jones; his sisters, Lily and Wendy (Albert); and his parents, Manuel Matthews and Jessie Matthews.

He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Matthews; his daughters, Jenee Nash (Richard) and Nicole Matthews; his granddaughters, Jade, Lauryn and Gabrielle; and his sister Annie (Shaler Sr.). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Jerome's honor to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue.
