He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Joseph and Alice Marie Hanlon (Rawley); his siblings, Mary McLaughlin, Alice Marie Hanlon and Vincent J. Hanlon (Helen); his siblings-in-law, John J. Gilgallon, Jr., John J. McLaughlin, Sr. (Jack) and Susan Gilgallon (Sue); his cousins, William P. Rawley and Joseph F. Rawley; and his siblings' children, Colleen DeFranco (Bohsen), David B. Gilgallon, Kevin C. Hanlon, John J. McLaughlin, Jr. and Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Hanlon (Gilgallon); his children, N. J. During and Boy Scout; his pet Pal; his daughter-in-law Ann; his children, Ruth Foerster (Scott), Richard R. Hanlon, Jr. and Tara Mack (John); his grandchildren, Eileen, Mark, Kevin Foerster, Anthony, Brian and Sean Mack; his brothers, John M. Hanlon (JoAnn) of East Hanover, N. J. and Thomas J. Hanlon, Sr. (Anna) of Merrimack, N. H.; his siblings-in-law, Edward W. Gilgallon (Francine) and Mary Gilgallon of East Dorset, V. T.; and his cousins, Robert J. Rawley (Madeline) of Doylestown, P. A., Anne Saldich (Rawley) and C. A.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His death was not due to the COVID-19 virus.
