He was predeceased by: his siblings, Maureen Dempsey and Patrick Flanagan; and his parents, Thomas Flanagan and Ann Flanagan. He is survived by: his wife Carmel Flanagan; his children, Thomas Flanagan (Asami), Fiona Matthews (Steve) of Madison, NJ and Moira Greto (Andrew) of Northampton, MA; his grandchildren, Lucy Greto, Owen Matthews, Thomas Greto, Aidan Matthews, Minori Flanagan and Aika Flanagan; and his brother Sean T. Flanagan of Florham Park, NJ. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent Martyr Church (26 Green Village Rd, Madison, NJ 07940). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
