She decided to sattle down in the USA after World War II in 1955 - later she regreted it after her husband died very soon and had seen that Germany is also a good place to make mony in the 60´s - but she found another love. “Liebe Tante Lydia - wir sahen uns zuletzt im Oktober 2005 bei der Beerdigung Deiner Schwester Luise, meiner Oma. Wir wussten, dass wir uns niemals wiedersehen würden. Der Abschied schon damals war für immer, wir wussten es. Ich habe erst jetzt erfahren, dass Du schon Ende Mai 2019 im gesegneten Alter von 93 Jahren gestorben bist. Du warst die jüngste Tochter der Familie Heeger. Das Nesthäckchen und zugleich die Hübscheste und Schönste. Du sahst mit 80 noch super aus. Ruhe in Frieden ....”
