He is survived by: his children, Nicholas Abbate (Ann), Lisa Abbate (Darrell), Phyllis Abbate (Cameron) and Joanne Abbate; his siblings, Nicholas Abbate (Gilda) and Jessica Mantia (Louis); and his grandchildren, Ella, Nicholas, Ava, Violet and James.
