Gloria Manzone Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Manzone, age 94, who passed away peacefully on February 8, 2020, at home in Manalapan, NJ. She was born July 20, 1925, in Elmont, NY to Umberto and Elizabeth Capitolo.
She married Rocco John Manzone on July 4, 1947, in New York City.
She worked as an office manager, bookkeeper and sales representative throughout her life. She was always curious, inventive and resourceful.
Gloria truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like antiquing, happy hours and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and devoted partner Costanza “Connie” Miraglia (deceased) shared many adventures together, like traveling abroad. Gloria’s main happiness in life was devotion to her family. She was generous and compassionate.
She is survived by her children, John Manzone, Christine Bauman, Janet Cavalieri and Patti Feldman and their spouses; a brother Herb Capitolo; her ten grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gloria Manzone to pay her a last tribute. You may also light a candle in honor of Gloria Manzone.

A mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2020 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Brigid's Catholic Church (75 Post Avenue, Westbury, New York 11590).

“My godmother was indeed one of a kind. While i'm sure it never crossed her mind, she was a trailblazer, an independent thinker, and a role model, especially for the women in her family. Gloria was like a magnet and people were drawn to her - everyone loved to be in her company. She will be dearly missed, but make no mistake - we will be reminiscing and re-telling classic "gloria" stories for years to come. Now isn't that a lovely legacy! Devoted goddaughter, christine”
