He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Murphy and Loretta Murphy; his brothers, Neil and Jack Murphy; and his son-in-law Jay Indelicato.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Snyder; his daughters, Kathleen Indelicato, Lori Ann Vierno (George) and Sharon Carreto (Gus); his grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Nicole (Kyle), Vincenza, Victoria, Lauren, Romeo, Isabella, Veronica and Gus Jr.; and his grand-pets, Kobe, Stella, Malibu and Leo.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals (3377 US-9, Old Bridge, NJ 08857). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Church (186 Gordons Corner Rd, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726).
The family requests that donations to the St. Jude Children's Hospital are made in memory of Joseph.
