Leslie Ruth Richards Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leslie Ruth Richards (Manalapan, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 28, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Sandberg and Clifford Sandberg; her husband William Richards; her sisters, Judith Hagen and Peggy Sorensen; her stepbrother Daniel Rodwell; and her stepfather Mort Rodwell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debora Gondek (Richard) of Mendham, NJ and Kim Markensohn (Evan) of Whippany, NJ; her grandchildren, Hadley, Carter, Benjamin and Morgan; her stepsister Sara Gavinski; her half-siblings, Tom Rodwell and Connie Webster; and her pet Finley. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an animal shelter of your choice in Leslie's memory.
