He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sera and Mary Sera. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Linda Leotta (Mario) and Michael Sera (Lisa); his grandchildren, Meghan Gonzalez (Justin), Christian Leotta, Matthew Leotta, Steven Sera (Emma), Tori Sera and Mason; and his sister Lorraine Perrino.
