We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2026, at the age of 54, Stephen A. Murphy (Manasquan, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Stephen's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Stephen has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his mother Sharon Murphy. He is survived by: his siblings, Michelle McNicholas (Paul), Kathy VanBenthuysen (Derek), John C. Murphy (Sharon) and Dave Murphy (Raquel); and his nephews, Kelly, Erin, Sean and Ryan.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home-Wall (2028 NJ-35, South Amboy, NJ 08879). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Atlantic View Cemetery (49 Forest Ave, Manasquan, NJ 08730).
