He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennie Breimann and Julius Breimann; his brother Robert Breimann; and his grandson Jackson Place. He is survived by: his wife Peggy (New Rochelle); his children, Karen Breimann Place (John), Nancy Beiger (Don), Richard Breimann and Christopher Breimann (Pamela); his sister Susan McGrath-Charlesworth; his grandchildren, Adam Gregory (Elyss), Cooper Place, Richard Breimann (Alli), Brendan Breimann (Marissa) and Sydney Breimann; and his great grandchild Leon Breimann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
