She is also survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Melissa's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38105; http://www.stjude.org.; or 800-805-5856).
