He is survived by: his children, Angelica Otero-Rivera, Albertito Rivera Jr. and Nathaniel Rivera; his grandchildren, Alexandria, Mia, Aluna, Alani and Elias; his siblings, Pete, Milta, Mina, Barbara, Julio and Orlando; and the mother of his children Ivette Rivera. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
