He was predeceased by: his parents, John Palumbo and Laura Palumbo; his uncle Frank; his aunt Sarah Genna; his siblings, Lewis Palumbo and Roseann Hollywood (Richard Hollywood); and his brother-in-law Gary Hoblick.
He is survived by: his wife Maria A. Palumbo; his siblings, Patrick Palumbo and Theresa Hoblick; his children, Giovanni Palumbo, Leonardo Palumbo, Laura Palumbo (Daniel Mercado) and Ferdinando Palumbo (Christine Vuolo); and his grandchildren, Matteo and Liliana Palumbo Mercado. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Par-Troy Funeral Home (95 Parsippany Rd, Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Peter the Apostle R. C. Church (179 Baldwin Rd, Parsippany, NJ 07054). A committal service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that Masses be offered in Peter's memory at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Lake Hopatcong, NJ.
