With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Isabel Theresa Tanella of Marlboro, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emidio Ponzi and Edith Ponzi; and her brother Joseph Ponzi. She is survived by: her husband Philip M. Tanella; her daughter Janine; her son-in-law Steven Kovats of Middletown, NJ; her son Philip L.; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Tanella of Morganville, NJ; her brother Jimmy; her sisters-in-law, Carmel Ponzi of Marlboro, NJ and Lisa Ponzi of Staten Island, NY.; and her grandchildren, Philip S. Tanella, Ryan Kovats, Jenna Kovats, Sloan Tanella and Hailey Kovats.

In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly asking for a donation to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, so we can continue Isabel's lifelong work and legacy of supporting children.
