Travis E. Martin Obituary

MARTIN, Travis E., passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023. Travis was a resident of Marlton NJ, was born in Upper Darby PA to Joseph and Pat (nee Travis) and spent his early years in Clifton Heights PA.

51 years will never be enough to have a man like Travis in our world. Those who loved him will miss him dearly and they include his devoted family - his beloved wife, Trish Martin (nee Vizzard), his dearly loved children, Annie, Travis and Grace Martin, his beloved siblings, Trish Buchanan (Jim), Joseph Martin (Dawn), John Martin (Jen) and Jerry Martin (Mary). He is also lovingly survived by his mother and father in law, Peg (nee Maher) and Vince Vizzard, his brothers and sisters in law, Meg Fynan (Mike), Eileen Vizzard, Mary Egan (Tom), Vince Vizzard (Chris), Kara White (Doug), Jim Vizzard (Jeanna), John Vizzard (Laurie) and Anne Vizzard as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Travis was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and Widener University. He graduated with a degree in English and went on to teach 8th grade Language Arts at Colonial Middle School, Plymouth Meeting PA and Washington Township Middle School. He thrived as a teacher, being well loved by students and faculty alike. But Travis' teaching did not stop when he left the classroom. He was a kind and humble man, who led by his calm example. He taught us all how to live and love and to be patient and kind. When there was a problem and you did not know what to do, he would say choose Love. Love is the answer.

Travis loved his Philly teams, especially the EAGLES. He also enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore, where he met Trish. He was an avid reader and writer, and he was a true 'gentle'man. He also had a great sense of humor, always with a perfectly timed joke or a clever, witty one liner. Travis fiercely loved his family and his faith remained strong even through his adversities. His life was a testimony to family and faith.

All are welcome to attend his visitation on Saturday February 4 from 11am-1pm at the Bradley Funeral Home 601 Rt. 73 South at Evesham Road and the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Saturday at 1:30pm. at St. Joan of Arc Church 100 Willow Bend Road Marlton NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Trav's memory to one of these 3 charities which are close to the Martin family's heart: Hope for Travis (to contribute to the children's further education).
