She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Michael and Rita Assante; her husband Robert E. Prokopczyk; her close friend Martin Bajor; her brother Leonard Assante; her children, Robert E. Prokopczyk Jr., Michael J. Prokopczyk of Martinsville and Susan V. Prokopczyk (Bruce Herve) of Milford; her grandson Kyle Herve; and her brother Michael Assante of Martinsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Best friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.
