He was predeceased by: his parents, John Houjak and Cora Houjak (Adomiak); and his siblings, Betty Geissler and John Houjak. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Houjak (Dal Ceredo); his children, Robin Vitale of Matawan and Michael Houjak (Patricia) of Scranton, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Kristin Vitale, Nicole Vitale, Jamie Vitale, Kaitlyn, Pete Evans, Jessica and Sean Cahill; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Evans, PJ Evans, Austin Cahill and Liam Azvolinsky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Day Funeral Home (361 Maple Pl, Keyport, NJ 07735). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
