He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnna Hawn; his daughter Elizabeth Hawn; his parents, Richard Hawn and Genevieve Hawn; and his brother John Hawn.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Hawn Jr. and Michele Gallagher (Brian); his grandchildren, Joseph Hawn III, Jacquelyn Mazuca (Anthony), Aubrey Hawn and Justin Gallagher; his great grandchild Anthony Mazuca Jr.; and his siblings, Richard Hawn, Carol Jean Sine, James Hawn, Steve Hawn, Patricia Peacock, Anna Albertson, Robert Hawn and Timothy Hawn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
