He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Monihan and Katharine Monihan; his son Richard "Rick" Martin Jr. (Shelagh); his brothers, Neil and Terrence; and his pets, Frisco, Molly Maguire and Beckett.
He is survived by: his wife Mary-Lou Monihan (Lovett); his children, Brian (Maureen), Kirsten, Hilary (Jonathan) and Meg Ann (Timothy); his grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew, Tara, Kate, Trey, Jack, Max, George and Andreas; and his great grandchild Declan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Church (5021 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ 08330). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (5061 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ 08330).
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent de Paul Church would be appreciated.
