She is survived by: her husband Eric Scheffler; her children, Eric "Ricky" Scheffler (Michele) and Lynn Scheffler Gazzara Keels (Mark); her grandchildren, Robert Scheffler (Sami), Caroline Gazzara-McKenzie (Ethan) and Makoto "Mak" Gazzara; and her great grandchild Violet McKenzie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Carolyn's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
