He was predeceased by: his spouse Amelie Susan; his son George Peter Gates; his sister Mary Gates; and his parents, George Gates and Rena Gates.
He is survived by: his children, Priscilla Dawkins (Thomas) of Tabernacle, NJ and James Gates of Medford, NJ; his grandchildren, Tyler Gates, Austin Dawkins, Cameron Dawkins, Cody Gates, Dylan Gates and Shane Gates; and his sister Judy MacDonald (Martin).
Viewing was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home (127 Medford Mt Holly Rd, Medford, NJ 08055). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
